D’sacach grew up and lives in San Marcos la Laguna in the Department of Solola, when in Guatemala. He works with the Jovenes Maya Kaqchikell a non-profit association serving to remember Mayan culture and pass that on to the youth of San Marcos. They also teach about the local medicinal plants' use and identification. The Jovenes Maya also hope to reforest the local area as well as offer Eco-Tours and hikes to Santa Cruz, Santa Lucia and other great locations around Lake Atitlan.
